From Liz, who took part in the "Embroidery Basics" Workshop:

Liz's summary of the first day "I’m exhausted! Gail at Majestic Merino is a lovely and very patient lady. She shared her expansive knowledge freely and had all sorts of info printed out for me. I arrived to a cheery hello and my kit of all necessary supplies sitting waiting for me.
My brain could be heard slowly grinding away as I learnt the “correct” way to do these basic stitches. I even used a hoop and drew guide lines for my stitches - usually it’s grab a needle and stitch. My technique has been improved, secret embroiderer tricks shared and stories shared. We worked from 9-12 on just these stitches with a coffee break thrown in. (No coffee in the work room but I survived! )
We took a quick drive to Tingle bake house to pick up fresh made pies for lunch. Once lunch was had we got back into it doing the other half of the allocated stitches from 1 -3. Mentally I’m tired but feel pleased with my progress. I have much practising to do."

Liz then wrote "Yesterday I enjoyed my second half of the two day embroidery workshop at Majestic Merino with Gail. Again I could feel my brain cogs turning. Once I had completed a selection of stitches and techniques I started using them on my crazy patchwork block. I do love to bedazzle and enhance fabric. Thanks Gail for a great workshop, good coffee, inspiration and lively conversation."
